CNC Machinist, Milling

The successful candidate will be able to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below and provide suggestions for efficiency improvements and assist machine operators.

The successful candidate will have the skills and be able to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.

  • have 5+ years of experience 

  • can efficiently and effectively program, set up and operate CNC vertical and or horizontal mills independently

  • are able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings

  • possess a strong ability to work with tight tolerances

  • can troubleshoot and determine corrective actions for problems

  • have experience with a necessary measuring devices

  • possess excellent shop math skills

  • can perform routine preventative maintenance duties

  • are organized and dependable

  • are able to work overtime and weekends as needed

  • are able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds

Manufacturing Engineer (Machine Shop)

We are looking for an energetic and tenacious individual whose sense of urgency and desire to succeed will help us improve our business through increased efficiencies in manufacturing and product design. Reliability and a great attitude will make you a vital part of a team that provides quality products and exceptional customer service.

The Manufacturing/Product Engineer will complete job quotes, work with customers for best cost design for products, establish and maintain document control, create manufacturing process plans, recommend tooling and work with tooling vendors for improved tooling value, design tooling fixtures, create and modify programs for CNC machining, reverse engineering of customer products, lead and assist in lean manufacturing initiates, advise N.E.T. & Die leadership on new technologies and additional capabilities for growth.

The successful candidate will be able to sustain year-over-year cost and efficiency improvements in manufacturing and;

  • has a minimum of five years experience as a manufacturing/product engineer in a machining environment;

  • is organized and dependable;

  • can work independently on multiple projects simultaneously;

  • is an accomplished leader with demonstrated decision-making skills;

  • possess excellent communications skills (both verbal and written);

  • can travel up to 10%

CNC Machining Apprentice

The successful candidate will be able to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below:

  • complete required classroom work per apprenticeship standards

  • on the job training to includes hands on, mentored tasks including machine set ups,

  • programming and machining parameters

  • training will also include blueprint reading, quality inspection standards, shop math

  • perform routine preventative maintenance duties

  • responsible for learning, implementing and maintaining lean initiatives

 

The following qualifications are necessary;

  • have minimum 1 year of experience in machining

  • high school diploma or equivalent (higher education certification or associate's degree

    preferred) 

  • problem solver, organized, detail oriented and dependable

  • able to work first shift and overtime when needed

  • live within commuting distance to Fulton, New York or be willing to relocate

  • able to stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds

  • consider yourself to be honest and loyal (two of our core attributes

 

What Is An Apprenticeship?

An apprentice learns directly from his/her employer with on-the-job training. Hands-on training gives apprentices invaluable experience. Pair that with related technical instruction through our educational partners, including community colleges and technical schools. Total hours of training in the program is 8000 hours of on the job and in class training. This combination gives apprentices all the skills they need to succeed and progress in their professional careers in machining.

Our apprenticeship is a certified apprenticeship through the New York State Department of Labor and is partnered with MACNY (Manufacturers Association of Central New York) for administration.
