Quality Specialist
N.E.T. & Die is looking for a detail oriented individual whose sense of urgency and desire to succeed will help us improve our business. The Quality Specialist is responsible for day to day inspection, timely and accurate follow up with customers and vendors on non conformances and other quality related communications, assisting in implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System and ISO certification, calibration of inspection equipment, quality compliance and other quality related tasks as needed.
The successful candidate will show quality ownership through continuous improvement in quality metrics year over year and be able to perform the following;

can operate a CMM independently (we are willing to train)

have applied and/or supported ISO complianceâ–ª
-
are proactive and have an established reputation for implementing root cause and corrective action

are technically competent and can read blueprints

Quality Engineering Apprentice
N.E.T. & Die is looking for a detail oriented individual whose sense of urgency and desire to succeed will enhance our business. The Quality Engineering Apprentice will learn responsibilities for day to day inspection, assisting in implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System, calibration of inspection equipment, quality compliance and other quality related tasks as needed.
The successful candidate will be able to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below;
-
complete required classroom work per apprenticeship standards including safety, blueprint reading, quality inspection standards, and shop math in a timely manner
-
complete on the job training, in a timely manner, to includes hands on, mentored tasks such as operation of Coordinate Measuring Machine and hard gaging as well as administrative duties such as quality data collection, record keeping and analysis
-
perform routine preventative maintenance duties for quality department
-
responsible for learning, implementing and maintaining lean initiatives
The following qualifications are necessary;

organized (you can manage time effectively and have a system to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and can stay focused on projects and deadlines)

can make customer focused decisions (putting the customers at the center of decision making, based on how those decisions will impact the NET & Die customer regardless external objectives and feedback)

Pair that with related technical instruction through our educational partners, including community colleges, technical schools and online coursework. Total hours of training in the program is 8000 hours. This combination gives apprentices all the skills they need to succeed and progress in their professional careers in quality engineering.
Our apprenticeship is a certified apprenticeship through the New York State Department of Labor.

What Is An Apprenticeship?
An apprentice learns directly from his/her employer through on-the-job training while earning a salary. Hands-on training gives apprentices invaluable experience. Pair that with related technical instruction through our educational partners, including web based, community colleges and/or technical schools. All in class training is paid for by N.E.T. & Die. Total hours of training in the program is 8000 hours (approximately four years) of on the job and in class training. This combination gives apprentices all the skills they need to succeed and progress in their professional careers in machining. Prior on the job and in class training may be applied towards required hours for apprenticeship.
Our apprenticeship is a certified apprenticeship through the New York State Department of Labor.
